Testimonials
Lorraine Dixon CMIOSH
Health and Safety Adviser • Gateshead Council
The Ionising and Non-Ionising Radiation Training by Aurora was an excellent course and I would recommend attending it. The course was well paced and was structured to include participants of all levels. There were plenty of opportunities to network, which is a bonus when you are new to this area.
Those presenting were able to clearly explain legislative requirements and I acquired a lot of new knowledge, particularly about lasers and electromagnetic fields.
Darren Ling
Director of Operations • Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust
We approached Aurora after radon monitoring had shown the presence of significant concentrations of radon gas at some of our premises.
Aurora met with us and talked us through our legal obligations to ensure compliance and to protect our employees, vistors, etc. from radon gas. They also drafted risk assessments for us to adopt and attended site to undertake active radon monitoring to confirm that temporary measures could be used to reduce radon levels until our mitigation contractor had installed the required ventilation systems. This allowed us to continue working while ensuring a safe environment.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Aurora for any organisation dealing with issues relating to radon gas.

Director, UK Research Site Operations • EISAI LIMITED (EISAI)
Aurora provided an excellent service and supported us closely throughout the whole of our permit surrender process with the Environmental Agency. Joel and the team were knowledgeable, effective communicators and professional. It is easy to see why Aurora Health Physics Services Ltd is a UK leader in providing radiation protection and safety services.
Colin Stuart
H&S Advisor (Radiation) • The University of Nottingham
Aurora Health Physics provided support to the University of Nottingham during a period between appointments. The experience and knowledge of Aurora, and the ability to provide a person to act as a point of contact and support ‘on the ground’ at the University for several months was invaluable. Aurora have provided support to the University in an RPA / RWA capacity for a while - but the ability to provide a member of staff two days a week was vital. Joel quickly became a member of the Health and Safety team, and during the months he was acting RPO for the University provided competent, pragmatic, and succinct radiation safety advice on a complex range of radiation topics.
