Diamond Light Source first used Aurora for its training services in ionising and non-ionising radiation, since then we have gone on to use many other services, including; compliance auditing, Monte Carlo shielding calculations and High Resolution Gamma Spectrometry analysis of waste. Aurora Health Physics provided support to the University of Nottingham during a period between appointments. The experience and knowledge of Aurora, and the ability to provide a person to act as a point of contact and support ‘on the ground’ at the University for several months was invaluable. Aurora have provided support to the University in an RPA / RWA capacity for a while - but the ability to provide a member of staff two days a week was vital.
